Dravidianism...Indianism

There is lot of things and speeches revolving around these 3 things

Dravidianism
Indianism

Though the speeches given by the respective leaders are more of political oriented, it has to be clearly distinguished and understood as its need of the hour and there is an impression that the central govts all wanted to have a commonalism thorugh out the country than regionalism, since India is a country with speciality of Unity in Diversity.

I am still trying to understand the basic differences between these 2 idelogies or infact basically what they mean. By joining the dots from various speeches and debates i understood this way. Its just my opinin and not offense to any of these idelogies.

Let me start with Indianism.. it simply means all people living in India shall be feeling they are Indians first and respect all other indians with equality irrespective of caste, creed, religion, region, color, race, gender. Or simply being patriotic to the country.

Dravidianism... This is the ideology of the southern part of India and this is exisiting majorly in the state of Tamilnadu as on date and recently in certain issues and the low priority given by central govts to the southern states has raised the topic of a seperate south india or Dravidian country. What does it mean actually?
This is an ideology that distincts the aryan race from non aryan race of the south India. As per various debates its understood that the word came into existence few centuries ago and its predominantly spelled out from 20th century onwards. It refers to the people of tamil, telugu, kannada, malayalam origin or the mainland of the people of these 4 languages.

Still trying to understand more on this and will write based on my understanding further.

Thanks for reading.

  1. The British and their Indian collaborators had always wanted to divide Indian people to ensure their own supremacy.
Theory of migration of Aryans from central Asia and their pushing down of indiginous people to South and call them Dravidian is part of the same conspiracy.
But infront of Indianism this theory is on loose grounds.
I am not a scholar of demography but that is what I have grasped....lt is not final but open to discussion...
